Professor Kusum, M.A.LL.M is a former research professor of the Indian Law Institute and has authored several books on various topics like juvenile delinquency, suicide, Bio-ethics and has also co-authored books on customary laws, and legal research methodology. She has been on deputation to the Law Commission of India and is also associated with the National Commission for Women and the Delhi Legal Services Authority. She is also a recipient of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Human Rights fellowship and is also a founder member of the International Association of Bio-ethics.
